  • Produce daily and weekly reports for Senior Management, reporting on the status of reservations, event forecasting and past reservations analysis;

  • Coordinate events for groups of up to 45 people;

  • Manage reservations for Estate’s other businesses including Pialligo Pavilions, Pialligo Fields and Market Grill;

  • Closely coordinate and liaise with external services providers and suppliers; and

  • Manage general customer enquiries and be the first point of contact for the business.

  • Vigorous management of high stock volumes on a daily, weekly and monthly basis; and

LUCKY’S SPEAKEASY – QT HOTEL

Lucky’s Speakeasy is a 1920’s themed bar located within the QT Hotel Canberra. Internship | Barton, ACT | Jul 2018 – Aug 2018

AGENCY9

The most recent internship I have completed is with a small, Canberra based public relations agency called Agency9. My internship with this business was very practical as I was involved in ‘hands-on’ dealings with the industry and was therefore able to gain a lot of new experiences. My tasks while interning included the following:

  • Composing a media brief for the Master Builders Association and following up with relevant journalists about the story;

  • Conducting phone interviews;

  • Creating and planning content calendars;

  • Undertaking various research activities such as composing a list of relevant influencers that could be used to promote a product; and

  • Composing, preparing and sending EDM’s through the marketing platform called Mailchimp.

Internship | Acton, ACT | Jun 2018 – Jul 2018

COORDINATE

I have also recently completed an internship with a marketing and advertising agency called Coordinate. While interning with this company I was able to work within their creative team. This provided me with an insight on the strategy, direction and production required to create an effective marketing campaign and management skill required to best manage relationships with clients. The tasks I performed involved:

  • Researching and writing blog posts for various clients;

  • Creating a promotions implementation chart;

  • Assisting on set when shooting a commercial;

  • Problem solving by creatively researching ways for a client to better connect with their stakeholders;

  • Preparing Call Sheets for video shoots, and;

  • Various other research tasks.

OFFICE OF GIULIA JONES MEMBER OF THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY (MLA)

Unlike Australia’s other states and territory, the ACT does not have the three tiers of law-making bodies. MLA representatives have a combined parliamentary role of law-making/changing power in both state and local affairs.

Giulia Jones is a representative of the Murrumbidgee Electorate of the ACT. As an intern at Giulia Jones’ office, I was involved in the preparation for the 2016 election. I focussed on engaging with Giulia’s electorate members and professional associates. The tasks I performed mainly involved communication and liaison with the constituents that were involved with Giulia’s office. Additionally, I was tasked with administrative roles such as research projects, data entry and document filing.
